In my twenty-five years on this Earth, I have held a lot of titles. I have been a daughter, a granddaughter, a niece, a cousin, a friend, a girlfriend, a mama (to a dog), a student, a camp counselor, a photographer, a saleswoman, a customer support representative, a stage manager, an intern, a production assistant, a script supervisor, a production manager, an assistant director, a producer, a casting director, a novelist, an entertainment blogger, a news writer, a director, probably most notably a fan...and now I guess I'm adding "tee shirt designer" to the list.
Thanks to my awesome friend Karen, one of my brainstormed images has been brought to life and is now available for sale on Zazzle.com.
Stemming from an exclamation our mutual friend Marisa made during my SAG Awards 2010 viewing party, "When I grow up, I want to be Betty White" featuring a silhouette graphic of Betty herself, can be sported to the gym, to school, to the mall, or just on casual Friday. The website is pretty user-friendly and allows uploading of just about any image so long as you are not using company logos or pictures of celebrities. However, it pretty much only allows you to stamp the image in the center of the front of the tee-shirt, so my original slightly art-ier design of the silhouette off to the bottom left with the scripted text floating above and to the right had to be forgone...for now.
I've had friends who caught the bug for designing tee-shirts before, and ultimately they have all gotten bored and moved on. However, while this is still fun and exciting, I am officially starting work on the "Team Baze" and "Team Ryan" (Life Unexpected) prototypes! Pre-orders are being taken now, and the links will be coming soon!!
