Don't Be A Twit; Bid For Change!...

You spend all day on Twitter anyway, right, so why not do it for a good cause?

As of yesterday, hundreds of celebrities of screen (big and small), stage, and sports arenas joined forces to take part in the first-ever Twitter auction. To benefit The Miriam Center in Haiti, you have a chance to bid on packages that, if you win, will have your favorite celebrity following you on Twitter (for a minimum of ninety days) and/or ReTweeting some of your commentary.

As Eva Longoria, who appears to be the ambassador for this event, says: "We are trying to change the world one Tweet at a time."

It's a great event because so many of these stars actually get paid to Tweet endorsements of certain projects, so it's nice to see them giving back, too!

The stars who have signed up are the likes of Alyssa Milano, who even offers to Tweet about your blog or business if you win (hmm...maybe My Life, Made Possible by Pop Culture needs to bid!), Community's Yvette Nicole Brown (who is so sweet she usually responds to @replies anyway), Julie Benz, Tony Hawk, Aisha Tyler, Demi Lovato, Jenna Ushkowitz, Channing Tatum, Ryan Seacrest, the Kardashians, Simon Pegg, Joe Jonas, and Gordon Ramsay. Man I'd love to bid on Ramsay just so he can yell at me online! The complete list (with current bids) is listed here. Be warned; some of the packages have already passed the thousand dollar mark!

And you can always follow me on Twitter. I @reply, too!
