Matt Cohen is an exceptionally good sport. During our Wii with the Stars interview late last month, we experienced some technical difficulties that resulted in us reshooting the majority of the interview for safety. He also put up with my little ham of a dog, Madison, jumping all over him and then rolling on his back demanding belly scratches. Cohen, always the consummate professional, took it all in stride like just another day on set. My Life, Made Possible by Pop Culture still felt bad, though.
Just last year, Cohen produced and starred in an independent film about and for surfers. It was his first foray behind the camera, and pulling double-duty, too. With a small budget and an intense production schedule, he more than had his hands full, but he said he is eager to try his hand at it again, perhaps even directing down the line, too. So perhaps he really just is in this industry for the crazy ride and surprises along the way!
As we played tennis, Cohen chatted about that independent film-- The Outside-- (which is available on DVD now), his time on Supernatural and if he'll be back during season six, and how he feels about "Free Hugs." He may even perform for me a bit at the end. Ch-ch-check it out!
And since Cohen beat me so quickly, we didn't have a chance to work in his upcoming appearance on NCIS: Los Angeles into the main interview, but he was cool enough to stick around for a few minutes after so we could learn all the details! Stay tuned to my Examiner page for that exclusive interview. In fact, if you subscribe over there, you will get the headline delivered to your email as soon as it goes live!
