Over 9 Million Minutes of Michael Scott...

I usually don't like it when other parts of pop culture take on RENT. From Christopher Columbus' movie to glee's screechy duet, I often feel like what should be an homage ends up more like parody. Until last night when The Office got it right.

I didn't mind that they changed the lyrics; I didn't mind that they weren't all pitch-perfect. I teared up hearing the Dunder Mifflin (now Sabre) employees pay their respects to the boss they may not have grown to admire but definitely grew to love just as much as I tear up each and every time I hear the actual song in the play, on my iPod, or used in a commercial.

You had me at "Good-bye, Michael Scott."
