"The Closer: It's the beginning of the end for Brenda Leigh Johnson"
For those of you who have been eagerly anticipating the final season of The Closer, please don’t be alarmed when you flip on TNT and see a minute or so of a gangsta rap music video as the premiere’s intro. Though it is not indicative of how the show usually starts—seeing a little bit of the victim’s life before you even know he is dead-- it is the perfect way, in our opinion, to start off a season that is not only wrapping up a long-term (and beloved) story but also introducing a new one. Because The Closer may be coming to an end, but the game of major crimes will continue even without Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (Kyra Sedgwick)... [MORE]
"The Rizzoli & Isles season two opener renews the spark in Detective Jane Rizzoli"
Last season on Rizzoli & Isles there was an episode in which an old boyfriend of Dr. Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander) came back into the picture during a homicide investigation. He turned out to be the actual murderer, so naturally in the second season premiere, when an old boyfriend of Detective Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) pops up, our suspicions were piqued. But the show isn’t in a sophomore slump, not at all, so it’s not out to recycle but instead to reboot in a way... [MORE]
"Alphas should be poised to rule Syfy but instead starts with a whimper"

After all, it’s in the name of the network to be leading in that kind of programming, isn’t it? But you know what they say about assuming, so instead, what we get is a just another quirky character procedural ala Breakout Kings, but with X-Men-like abilities. The pilot episode, while certainly action-packed, is somewhat weak in an overall mythology... [MORE]
"Warehouse 13 starts a new chapter, adds a new team member"
There is no doubt in our mind that if you’re a fan of Warehouse 13 you will love the season three opener that is premiering on July 11th. It is Pete (Eddie McClintock) at his best-- providing light-hearted banter, ample comedic distractions during stressful moments, and of course, a little gratuitous eye-candy (how he manages to pull off a bare chest at an otherwise black tie function is a feat in and of itself and one that is unique to him!)-- but it also steps up the mystery surrounding the team and the artifacts they try to recover by bringing aboard a new member and questioning whether or not a previous one really is gone for good...
