Save The Ducks, Save The World? A 'Supernatural' Fan Rally...

Clif Kosterman, who many of you know as Bodyguard4JandJ on Twitter, is starting a very special project today, August 15th 2011. He is asking all fans of Supernatural, Jared Padalecki, and Jensen Ackles, to send in your ducks!

Yes, that's right: ducks. Not live ones, of course, and not giant life-size or over-size ones either, but rubber duckies that you would bathe with when you were kids and most likely just use as novelty decorations now.

The movement, which Kosterman is calling "Duck Nation," is to inspire fans to put their creativity to good use. He wants to see ducks come in from every continent, and the first to be received from each will win a special prize. He is also promising prizes for the most creative ducks, so might we suggest trying to create little Dean and Sam and maybe even Castiel Quackers? If CelebriDucks can do it... But the bottom line is, this is open to everyone who wants to participate and feel involved with their favorite celebs and favorite show.

Write your name and where you're from on the duck and mail it over to the Supernatural production offices in Vancouver BC Canada. That way the guys can see just how far of a reach they have when ducks come in from all parts of the world. And though they most likely won't make an on-screen appearance, be sure to expect a bunch of behind-the-scenes photos from Clif and Jared on Twitter!

Supernatural will return to The CW with all new episodes on September 23rd at 9pm, but while you're spending the rest of hell-atus collecting ducks and spreading the word across the fandom, consider also assigning a numerical value to these ducks and raising money for a very worthy cause. Both Padalecki and co-star Misha Collins are extremely active in the philanthropy world with their own 501(c)3 tie-ins, Random Acts and A Dog's Life Rescue. And as I'm sure most of you already know, Support Supernatural still has their on-going campaign to raise money for ADLR, and Winchester Bros is doing a fundraiser for ACS in honor of Kim Manners, too. Consider giving them a little something extra!

And in case you need the mailing address for the ducks, here it is. How many will YOU send?
