Would You Let Ryan Murphy In?...

FX is asking viewers to sign up for "House Calls" to promote their new psycho-sexual horror drama, American Horror Story. Coming from the mind of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk (well, the show comes from their minds; the house calls...not so much), American Horror Story follows a young family who moves into a new home in Los Angeles only to find that the house may be preying on their deepest, darkest fears. It's one part The Shining, one part Rosemary's Baby, with a healthy dose of creepy neighbor/creepy shape-shifting ghosts mixed in.

And for the really adventurous, FX is now giving you a chance to have a house call from one said character in your own home. Shot with hidden cameras and posted online, we're not exactly sure how they manage to get into your house in the first place, but then again, they say all it takes is an open mind for spirits to show themselves, right? Well, no, as it turns out you need to supply a friend or family member's name and contact information to help plan the encounter. It may take some of the surprise out of it, but undoubtedly it won't take the sting out when you come face to face with whatever is lurking behind your closet door or in your shower! ...Though, what's to stop someone from signing someone else up? Say a roommate or ex-best friend? Oh my, American Horror Story *can* get into your head and make you do evil things!

But in all seriousness, I know I'm going to sign up, admittedly hoping it is Tami Taylor who stops by (what? she's the mother I no longer have!), but with my luck, I'll probably end up with the red-headed twins or dead-eyes young chambermaid. Anyone except the leather man, though, right? Sign up for your own American Horror Story House Call here.
