Amazing timing, right? On the morn of the Community third season finale, there are finally details about the "Six Seasons and a Movie" fan art show happening this summer in Los Angeles!
Mark Batalla and the PixelDrip Art Gallery here in Los Angeles has done something quite remarkable. Gathering together Community
fans from all over the world, they have called for artistic
submissions-- from fan videos, to sketches, to sculptures-- to display
in a one-of-a-kind showing at Monk Space on June 23rd and June 24th from
11am to 6pm (both days). And admission is free!
The show is not
affiliated with NBC, Sony Pictures Television, or Dan Harmon in any way,
though Batalla is said to have gotten Harmon's blessing before
embarking on this adventure. The show was funded through a Kickstarter campaign
earlier this spring and is bound to bring a few surprises along the way
when it opens. After all, these fans have already proven to have major
imagination!
And here's the thing: June 23rd is my birthday, and I can think of nothing better than to spend it celebrating my favorite comedy on TV. Maybe with some cupcakes ;) See you there, I hope?
