The CW is making some moves, but honestly? They're not enough for me! I want to see THREE hours of original, dynamic programming per week night-- or at least some offering on Sundays! But maybe when these new shows start to dig The CW out of the ratings hole they're in, that will be closer to a reality for next next season, rather than the seemingly distant dream it is now.
The CW was the final network to host an upfronts presentation for
potential advertisers this week, and therefore they were the final one
to reveal their 2012-2013 primetime schedule. Yet, among you guys, they
may have been the most highly anticipated and seen as saving the best
for last, right? So without further ado, we present to you the results
of that announcement and what the face of The CW will look like come
Fall 2012:
Monday nights:
- 8pm – 90210
- 9pm – Gossip Girl (officially the final season)
Tuesday nights:
- 8pm – Hart of Dixie
- 9pm – Emily Owens, M.D. (formerly First Cut)
Wednesday nights:
- 8pm – Arrow
- 9pm – Supernatural
Thursday nights:
- 8pm – The Vampire Diaries
- 9pm – Beauty & The Beast
Friday nights:
- 8pm – America’s Next Top Model
- 9pm – Nikita
Meanwhile, The Carrie Diaries will be stepping in mid-season, when Gossip Girl wraps its shortened season, and Cult will pop up at a day and time TBA in mid-season, as well.
