'The Voice' Semi-Final Round...


It's been a whirlwind month and The Voice is already down to its semi-finalists-- yes, just two performers from each of the four celebrity coached teams. Tonight live from Los Angeles they took to the stage once more to sing for America's votes. Last season’s The Voice finalists set the bar for how the last performance round should go. Singing original tracks written specifically for them, as well as dueting with their coaches, added an element of pageantry to the already exciting vibe of such an uplifting new series. This season those same four finalists, Beverly McClellan, Dia Frampton, Vicci Martinez, and show winner Javier Colon took the stage in Los Angeles again, to remind this year’s hopefuls how it’s done. Just a couple of weeks ago, The Voice series executive producer Mark Burnett told a roomful of journalists that he is advising season one winner, Javier Colon, to classify himself as a Christian artist. Burnett's reasoning was that Colon's music is emotional storytelling that every now and then will reference angels. But Colon himself doesn't want to put himself inside such a box.... [MORE]
