From LA Examiner: 'The Big Bang Theory', 'Up All Night', '30 Rock', and "Frozen Heat" Advance Reviews; 'Castle' Photo Preview...

The first season of Up All Night on NBC brought some of our personal favorites back to television for a family comedy that really found its legs when it explored the histories of its characters to explain some of their current odd quirks and eccentricities. 30 Rock Season 6” features the twenty-two episodes of the sixth season of NBC and Tina Fey’s meta TV comedy across three discs. The DVD box set also includes audio commentary from a number of its stars and producers across the episodes, but unfortunately Fey is not featured anywhere here, which just feels like a huge missed opportunity. If the show takes the time to film “Ask Tina” interstitials with her, why wouldn’t they also carve out half an hour or two to comment on some of the most classic Liz Lemon moments? ... [MORE]

“Frozen Heat,” the fourth Richard Castle novel comes at a time when the series itself is much further ahead than the writer within the series’ own works. This makes sense: the time it takes to write a book and actually publish it means there is always going to be a twinge of hindsight in the written words.
