From LA Examiner: 'Emily Owens, M.D.' Advance Review; 'Hart of Dixie' Premiere Preview...


If you’re a tween girl, maybe growing up a little gawky, or more interested in science than pop culture but still boy crazy, and lacking the self-confidence that many kids have simply because the world hasn’t told them not to yet, Emily Owens, M.D. is made just for you. But if you're even the slightest bit older and more mature, you've seen this all before and in much more interesting and complex ways. This world is all very Saccharine, and it wraps up like a young and awkward, unpopular girl would want it to-- realism be damned. The pilot of Emily Owens, M.D. is like an "It Gets Better" video, only the episode itself doesn't leave us with much hope that the Powers That Be behind the show actually have the experience or plan to actually make the show better in subsequent episodes...
