The CW's Supernatural is gearing up for a major task in "Trial and Error."
Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki)
have to decide which between them will tackle the three serious and
heavenly-- and potentially fatal-- tests that may allow them to close
the Gates of Hell forever. Naturally the brothers are going to argue
over which one will complete these "trials," and with the stakes as high
as needing to be able to kill a hellhound, a game of
rock-paper-scissors just isn't going to cut it!
On CBS' The Amazing Race,
teams of two race around the world, performing tasks to inch themselves
closer to winning a million dollars. Well, there seems to be no
argument that the Winchester brothers are the ultimate team of two, but unlike on The Amazing Race, Supernatural
has never had a rule that if one brother took down whatever they were
fighting that week, then next week it would be the other brother's turn
to do so.
So how can the show possibly make the decision on which Winchester is best suited to take on this enormous responsibility? I looked back at some of the Winchesters' greatest (solo) triumphs in order to shed some light.
