We Have Thoughts: 'Fringe' Finale Edition...

I never got around to writing about the Fringe series finale. I wish I could say it was because I was working on some kind of epic piece that would end up being 5000 words and blow everyone's mind, calling out all of the earlier seasons' callbacks in the episode and investigating equally whether the science and the character stuff matched up. That wasn't the case. In all honesty, I wanted to take the night of the finale to digest it and perhaps watch the episode(s) again in the morning before writing. But the morning was Saturday, my one day off, and I had other plans. It never came together, and eventually, as the days ticked off, I had this feeling of 'Well, it's kind of too late to post it now, right?'

I hope not. Because I may not have sat down to write my thoughts coherently, but I did vodcast them in the newest episode of We Have Thoughts. Fringe was one of the few shows Marisa and I have in coverage-common, and in a lot of ways, her passion for the show inspired me to give it a second chance after not getting on board initially in season one. Obviously, we can talk about television in general for hours on end (and often do), but we find we can easily talk about Fringe specifically for just as long.

We managed to keep this under half an hour (but just barely). We had a lot of thoughts! And feelings. Yes, it's been a few weeks since the finale aired, and you may say we should be over it by now (we're already onto the next obsession, interestingly also on FOX, The Following), but apparently time does not heal all wounds...
